Hello, again!

Fifteen months seems about the right amount of time to ignore my blog, but the itch needs scratching and the guilt needs assuaging, so here we are a week from Thanksgiving, being thankful for writing and the opportunity blogging provides to exercise the antsy authorial muscles, for sunny skies outside (at least, this pale blue / bright grey would be considered sunny in Scotland), for near family and dear friends, for wealth and pelf and name and fame and all of that noise, and for long sentences that should probably be broken into shorter segments whether or not they seemed right at the time.

And sure, the reference to Scotland may have been just a bit forced due to my realizing that this blog still has a Scottish title of sorts regardless of the fact that I have long since (lang syne) been removed from Scottish territory.
Updates and thoughts from the last year-plus will come in further posts — really — but for now, spread the word: that guy that used to blog a little bit and was never very good at consistency nor at being particularly interesting is back at it again. While others may be using NaBloPoMo to more valiant ends, I am at least taking the opportunity to take a deep breath of the chill autumn air and revive my dormant soul to its highest calling: typing stuff on the internet for strangers to read, or possibly for the Mighty Jagrafess of the Holy Hadrojassic Maxarodenfoe to collect.

In any case, this Thanksgiving you can be thankful for the help of pro blogger Rachelskirts for her help in renewing my domain (if you’re on wordpress, stoppit, you should be on sthorwall.com),  linking the two, and balancing out my goldfish-like tendencies that discouraged my reinvolvement in YAY ZOMG TEH INTERNETS I’m so happy. Srsly.

So long. Farewell. Au revoir. Auf Wiedersehen.
